This December, Publicis Groupe unveiled its annual “Wishes” film, commemorating the Group’s 100th milestone anniversary in 2026. The film blends live-action storytelling with groundbreaking AI-generated visuals to retrace the company’s history, from its beginnings as a small creative agency in Montmartre in 1926 to its evolution into the world’s leading advertising and communications group.
Created using 4,500 archival images and AI technology to produce 150 distinctive shots, the piece reflects the industry’s transformation through global conflicts, crises, cultural shifts, new technologies, and the pandemic. Only one-quarter of the film is live action. The rest is a visual showcase of how human creativity and artificial intelligence can coexist to preserve legacy while imagining the future.
Chairman and CEO Arthur Sadoun described the film as “a human, historical and technological odyssey”, reinforcing the belief that the future of AI is powered by people - the talent, ideas, and imagination behind the tools.
